OSTEO

Dan has been working as a manual therapist since 1998 giving him over 20 years experience in the field.  He graduated from university in 2004 and has been practicing osteopathy ever since.

As an avid exerciser Dan has dealt with many sprains, strains and injuries over the years and also dealt with Headaches.  Having experienced these types of ailments has lead to Dan developing a special interest in the treatment of headache and sports injuries, especially injuries to the shoulder.

His background is in traditional martial arts, weight training, rock climbing, mountaineering, and muay thai kickboxing.

Dan's approach to treatment is based around looking at the functional movements of the affected area and it's associated areas.  He uses deep tissue manipulation, joint articulation, stretching, dry needling and manipulation in his treatments.  He will also prescribe exercise, stretching, mobility work and any lifestyle changes required to get you back to your best.

He believes in a care based approach.  After your initial appointment you will receive an email summarising your consultation with your exercises and advice outlined in it.  He will also check in on you after your treatment is completed to ensure you are at your best.

Being 45 himself Dan is passionate about getting middle aged people moving, mobile, strong and pain free.  Mobility is the key to laying a foundation of strength down as you age.  Dan's treatments are geared towards keeping you mobile so you can be stronger in all planes of movement.
